My creative approach is deeply instinctual and spontaneous. I love the blank paper and all the possibilities. I don’t start each painting with a set plan, which is why each piece has many layers (lives), a visible record of time and feeling. My work is heavily influenced by personal experiences, relationships, the ups and downs of a full life and pure gratitude that I found this gift. Abstract painting has become a space for me to work through emotions and the freedom to express myself fully when I don't have the words. This influence comes through in the colors, feelings, layers, and energy of each piece. Inspiration comes from my curiosity and the desire to recreate the beauty that I see in everyday life—from the moments of connection to the simple color palettes around me.

I work primarily with acrylic paint and collage, mostly on paper, and my art is fundamentally driven by feelings, movement and energy. This energy in my daily journaling practice, where I experiment with ideas and set the tone for the day. My journals are where new ideas are tested, and feelings are painted through (most times before the sun has risen).

My hope is that my art sparks a feeling and joins the collection of memories the viewer carries with them, offering a moment of connection to the energy I poured onto the canvas.
